I am going through healing processes with my mum too. Spending time together doing mundane things like a trip to Morissons or watching TV programmes with her usually sets her off.
There's is nothing you can do really at this point. All the effort must come from your daughter. Deep down in her heart she knows you love her and that you would never do anything to hurt her.
I've seen many people in your situation struggle to cope with their child's mental health challenges and it is beyond tough and exceedingly heart-breaking.
It must be AWFUL for you and everyone else in your daughter's life.
You are not helpless though and must know that you are already doing something.
I do believe that apart from getting informed and all the practical stuff, a lot can be done in the collective - what I call transpersonal work- healing thoughts, Reiki, praye more…
It's not easy living with someone who is bi-polar . Fortunately there is a lot more help , support and understanding now than there used to be. Many celebrities have come out to tell their stories too. Stephen Fry is one , I think Jim Carrey is another.

Thank you - as you rightly say there is healing in the telling. It's a bit like passing the baton in a relay.
My greatest sadness is that Mum couldn't share this sooner. There can be no judgements made and yes of course forgiveness.

There is great healing in the telling of the story. What a shock for you hearing this.
They were different times and it is hard for us to imagine what it must have been like for them.
